Østre molokrok

Lively seaside culture
Built: Post-war years
Restoration: Planned 2014-2016
Developed by: Knut Einar Wold and Dag Sanner

The Fiskebruket in Østre Molokrok is the city’s prime location for fishing boats, and the shelter of the pier offers the calmest spot.

Those moorings and bait rooms are therefore much in demand among the local fisherman, and the outward condition of the buildings in no way reflects the quality fishing tradition that is practised there.

Knut Einar Wold and his partner Dag Sanner have been planning a restoration of the property which will offer more services to local and travelling fishermen.

Østre Molokrok is one among a group of buildings of historical significance in Vestervågen.
