A new creative energy in Finnmark’s oldest Pomor building
Built: 1865
Restoration: 2009-2012
Developed by: Heidi Kvernvik and Eivind Bøhn

Husegården is Finnmark’s last remaining example of a complete building from the Pomor era. More than 150 years of history has been lived out within its robust timber walls.

Where traders and passionate authors used to tread, trade and romance is now replaced by different business activities.

There are a series of active workspaces in the main section, and many innovative projects have had their origins in this creative environment. The vision of Heidi Kvernvik is to fill the whole Husegård block with activity.

Husegården is one of the restored buildings in Østervågen.
