One summer week last July, Vardø Restored tested a new method of city mapping in the city part Vestervågen together with the Oslo School of Architecture and Design . Local chronicles, businesses, and recreational spaces were essential elements of the mapping project.
In the coming 3 years, Vardø Restored will design and implement a plan for cultural heritage preservation. The heritage planning will be carried out with local residents and business owners. Vardø kommune, Finnmark fylkeskommune and Husbanken are also important partners in this endeavour.
